Description

Biquad Alo 1 Passive Analog Telephone Interface, 1 Line

One line hybrid telephone interface, rack standard, to be used in radio and TV studios. Has a identical circuit of all the other ALO models and does not require the use of power supply making it easy to use.

On the telephone line input and also on the audio inputs and outputs has RFI filters avoiding electromagnetic interference. It also has a protection against electric discharges from the telephone line that protect the equipment. Can work on conventional telephone lines or PBX extensions with variations between 20 and 50V with a minimum current of 20mA.

Balanced audio inputs and outputs with XLR connectors, isolated by transformers that guarantee high quality and immunity to noises, providing a clear and clean sound. Has audio control gain on the back panel.

The hybrid circuit (transformation from 2 to 4 wires) is totally electronic and active and has an adjustment for echo cancellation that provides an isolation around 50dB @ 1KHz.

On the front panel, the equipment has a ON/OFF key that attends the telephone call, a call indicator led that is on while the equipment is functioning, a return volume control to the listener and also an audio output volume control to the mixing console.

Very versatile, ALO 1 is the ideal equipment to be used in transmission and recording studios in order to extract or insert quality audio on the conventional telephone line POTS.

Its case has a high standard finishing with brushed stainless steel panel.

ANALOGUE AUDIO INPUT L / R

ANALOGUE AUDIO OUT (MONITOR)

  • CONFIGURATION: Possibility of configuration: Stereo / Mono on the left channel / Mono on the right channel / Mono by the sum of both channels.
  • OPERATION MODES: Process processed with pre-emphasis / Process processed with pre-emphasis and de-emphasis for greater control of high frequency peaks / Mode processed without application of pre-emphasis – Flat / Bypass mode – the output is connected directly to the input signal.
  • FILTER: Low-pass filter (FIR) with selectable cutoff frequency (16/25 KHz).

ANALOGUE AUDIO OUT (TX)

Two outputs with individually controlled levels through software.

  • Balanced MPX Output – Electronically balanced with floating earth and buffered for minimum loads of 8Ω, it can be configured to provide the 19KHz pilot signal.
  • Unbalanced MPX Output – Electronically “buffered” to support loads with a minimum of 8Ω.
