A tunable monitor/demodulator for FM broadcast subcarriers (including digital), the Inovonics 540-00 connects to the composite (MPX) output of any FM modulation monitor (such as the Inovonics 530-00). Easily calibrated to the modulation monitor reference, no additional test equipment is required. The 540-00 demodulates audio SCAs and displays actual FM deviation of the SCA subcarrier. Features: subcarrier tuning range of 54 kHz to 99 kHz in 1 kHz increments; measures injection level of subcarriers; demodulation of audio subcarriers and visual display of deviation; switchable measurement bandwidth (12 kHz for SCA and certain high speed data channels, and, 3.5 kHz for RDS and similar narrowband data services); peak-responding 38 segment bargraph display with peak hold function; triple conversion design with precise, crystal-controlled tuning. Options: comprehensive RDS decoding via plug-in module and software.
